The boat trip along the Kazinga Channel is a highlight of many stays within the Queen Elizabeth National Park providing perhaps the best game-viewing opportunities at the waters-edge as you journey towards the point where Lake Edward meets Lake Albert.

Visitors can expect to see large numbers of hippo, crocodiles, buffalo and elephants and be surrounded by vast numbers of migrant and resident water birds. Buffaloes are often viewed resting in the water while large herds of Elephant enjoy themselves drinking and playing along the channel banks. Crocodiles have also become a common sight. These waters are home to the largest hippo population in Africa!
