The equator line is crossed when travelling from Entebbe to Mburo (around 2hrs from Entebbe) or when travelling between Kibale and Queen Elizabeth National Parks and is one of the most and well known landmarks in Uganda.

The Equator is an imaginary line that is seen on maps marking the equidistant from the North and South Pole. Along this imaginary line, a magnetic needle has no dip and stabilizes in a perfectly horizontal position.

It is an amazing experience to stand with your feet on both sides of the world and it's a really cool photo to share with everyone at home. You can even commemorate your visit by buying your own 'I stood at the Equator' certificate when you cross the Equator on the way south from Entebbe!
