The Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary is a community development enterprise located in Magombe swamp on the fringe of Kibale National Park. Bigodi is a birder's paradise with over 200 bird species including the Great Blue Turaco.

The sanctuary is also recognized for an extensive array of biodiversity and 8 primate species including the red colobus monkey, baboon, black & white colobus monkey, blue monkey grey cheeked, mangabey, vervet monkey, red tailed monkey and the L’Hoest monkey. Additional mammals also visit this swamp from the adjacent Kibale National Park.
